While browsing the knitting section at Borders after work, I came across an unintentionally funny one. The title doesn't matter, but the subtitle was "The Only Knitting Book You'll Ever Need."
Right. Have you ever seen yarn advertising itself as "the only yarn you'll ever need"? Exactly.
I came away with Knitting Rules (looking forward to trying the sock recipe), a book of crossword puzzles, and Barbara Kingsolver's Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, which is going to be a birthday present. For a dear friend who really won't mind me having a peek at it first. And when I checked out, I made sure to put my name down for the Harlot's upcoming appearance. The saleslady noted that there's an avid knitter around these parts, pulling the whole thing together. CCR, is that you?
